Angelo Mosca
Angelo Mosca, born in Chieti in 1961, lives and works in Ortona (CH), London and Milan. He graduated in communications with a sociology-based thesis and began exhibiting in the 1990s. In 2009 he founded a non-profit space in Ortona called Galleria/Galleria, a meeting place for artists, thinkers and poets. In 2013 he staged the collective show “L’artista nel sistema e il suo tempo” (The Artist in the system and his time) at Castel di Ieri (AQ). Solo exhibitions include: “Me e Pirandello” Galleria Six in Milan; “Genesi di una Pittura”, Yellow, artist-runspace, Varese, 2017; Galleria Lorenzo Vatalaro, Milan, 2014; Spazio Cabinet, Milan 2011; MARS, Milan, 2010; Annarumma 404, Naples 2007 and 2003; Wendy Cooper Gallery, Chicago, 2006; Federico Luger Gallery, Milan, 2005; Modern Culture, New York, 2004; Jan Wagner Gallery, Berlin; Galleria Guido Carbone, Turin, 1996. For the 3rd Prague Biennale in 2007, he ideated and curated the “Pittura Italiana” pavilion. In 2015, he co-curated with Michele Tocco the “Pittura Italiana… e altre storie minori” exhibition at the Casino dei Principi in Villa Torlonia, Rome, and the homonymously-titled book, which was presented later at the Milan Triennale.
